NIRs Seminar At Upscience Vietnam Laboratory

On the 2nd of August Upscience had the pleasure to host a technical seminar with a focus on NIR Spectroscopy in our laboratory in Binh Duong.

Upscience Vietnam welcomed more than 20 participants for half a day inside the facility, giving them the opportunity to visit the workplace and meet the collaborators.
The participants were representatives from companiesof diverse activities.

The event consisted of:

Several conferences including:
- a presentation on the laboratory by the Director Lionel Montarges, with some insight concerning
the activity of Upscience and the advantages of investing in NIRs analysis,
- a conference on the analysis technique by NIRs developer Ms Le Thi Nhi, with a presentation of the characteristics and use of this analysis technique

and also:
- a workshop in which guests had the chance to test their samples for free and get their results right away with comments by the expert,
- a tour of the laboratory where our team could show the different sections and explain the activity in each department,
- general Q&A assisted by technical experts.

The Seminar was also the opportunity for the laboratory to introduce its new identity Upscience to the participants (Invivo-Labs became Upscience in early July this year).

In general and according to the surveys filled by our participants, the seminar was appreciated.

Upscience Vietnam will host this type of seminar several times during the year, with the objective of familiarizing participants with the different techniques and technologies used and/or developed by our international network of laboratories.

Check our website regularly to keep updated about the subject and dates of the next seminar!

Many thanks to all the guests who we had the pleasure to meet for the first time or meet again at the NIRs Seminar.

Here is a short reminder about Near Infrared Spectroscopy: it is operated by a machine that only few laboratories have in Vietnam, allowing an analysis by infrared rays, and is much faster than wet chemistry because it can test several parameters at a time. The results of a NIRs analysis are sent to the customers within 24h to 48h, compared to 5 days for wet chemistry.
